My very first DJ performance was for a party called Lights Out that we threw at a house called “The Jungle.”

The title "2@Ax" is pronounced "Two at a time," and refers to the approach of every "track" in the set actually being two tracks played at the same time, with appropriate edits and transpositions applied so that the tonality and timing all worked out precisely.

This set is dedicated in loving memory of David Marriner, whose love, rapturous joy, passion, and energy for all things musical was unmatched by anyone else I knew at the time. I know you'll always be listening, Dave.
